Inside the five-bedroom Edinburgh mansion being raffled for £2.50

Are you struggling to get onto the property ladder?

Perhaps you're on the hunt for a holiday home in Scotland? Or maybe you just can't resist looking at houses on the market?

Whatever your reason might be, we're sure you won't be able to resist drooling over this stunning five-bedroom house situated just 53 minutes away from the Scottish capital in Airdrie..

It is currently being raffled by its owners, with some of the proceeds going to St Andrew's Hospice in the North Lanarkshire town.

It boasts landscaped gardens, a paved drive, and a detached garage. The property also has a wealth of original period features such as decorative coving and ceiling roses, Edinburgh Live reports.

The winner will be required to visit McEwan Fraser Legal solicitors on East Claremont Street in Edinburgh by appointment and show a valid passport to prove their identity and will sign a Transfer Document.

The owner of the house - a Mr Phil Leckie - has hit back at people who say they suspect a scam, saying: "My parents still live in the area and brought me up with solid 'values'.

"I don’t need to steal and I also respect that people in life have to work extremely hard to get money. The £2.50 fee was to make it accessible for everyone, I just dislike the idea of people being 'priced out'."
