Inside the fairytale-style UK treetop hideaway you can book from £45pp a night

Already dreaming about your post-lockdown getaways? You may want to check out one enchanting treetop hideaway in Wales.

That's because the By the Wye treehouse look like something straight out of a fairytale, nestled amidst the tree canopy in ancient woodland, complete with rustic chic interiors and wooden branches intertwining along the walls and around the beds.

Located right by the River Wye in amidst four acres of woodland, you'll feel like you really are in an enchanted forest - the fact that part of the region is a designated site of Special Scientific Interest doesn't hurt either.

(In fact, there are plenty of woodland creatures to keep an eye out for including owls, dormice and even the occasional otter!).

The best part is that while you'll be going off the grid, there's still plenty of luxury to be found during your stay.

There are actually four tents on offer, and each is tucked away in the treetops on stilts, meaning some pretty breathtaking views of the region are on the cards.

The tents sleep up to four people complete with cosy bedding, chic wooden furniture and a huge outdoor private deck with plenty of seating whether you're after an al fresco breakfast or just want to enjoy the views. Oh, and did we mention there's a fire pit on the deck too?

Other amenities include a fully equipped kitchen so you can whip up some hearty fare, a wood-burning stove for those slightly chillier nights, and an ensuite bathroom complete with a power shower.

Sustainability plays a key role too, with everything from solar power to eco-friendly chemical-free toiletries.

Starting to think it could be the idyllic break you've been dreaming about during lockdown?

Prices start from £550 for three nights, based on four people sharing a tent (that's approximately £45pp a night).

It's worth noting that at the time of writing, Wales has eased some lockdown restrictions allowing for self-catering holidays.

However, residents in England and Scotland are still under their own lockdowns, which currently doesn't allow for travel outside of each country. It's hoped that restrictions in England could ease from May 17 to allow for more travel (some holidays will be allowed from April 12 but it's unclear if these will only be within England itself).

As for Scotland, travel restrictions could ease from April 26 but again, it's not known if this would allow for Scots to travel out of the country.

Make sure to check the guidance for your location before planning, booking or going on a trip.
