With the majority of estate agents and the housing market able to reopen when Wales' fire-break lockdown end on Monday, November, 9, prospective homebuyers and investors can once again start shopping for new properties.
With the average home in Llanelli costing £144,258, it's fair to say that there are lots on offer in Llanelli for a reasonable price, compared to many other areas of Wales.
Evidently, with such cheap properties, a little elbow grease for renovations might be necessary, but if you are willing to put in the work, then you could become the owner of a property at a very modest price.
Here are some of the cheapest homes in Llanelli on the market right now according to Zoopla:
Dafen Chippy - £35,000

Standing on Maescanner Road in Dafen, this commercial property with three bedrooms in the upstairs flat has a guiding price of just £35,000, but this could change at online auction. The estate agents have said that the property will not go to auction until there is sufficient interest in the old Dafen chip shop.
The chip shop suffered severe damage from a fire last year which saw firecrews tackle fires at both the chip shop and the pub next door so a complete renovation is needed.
However, the property includes the shop front, kitchen diner, back room and storeroom on the ground floor as well as three bedrooms and a bathroom on the first.

Prior to the fire, the vendor was getting £1,200 a month for both the shop floor and the flat above - a total of £14,400 a year.
