Inside the brand new B&M store and garden centre in Barry

B&M opened a brand new store and garden centre in Barry over the weekend.

The branch is located at the former Poundstretcher site on Waterfront Retail Park and is part of a wider plan to launch 45 more stores across the UK this year.

After undergoing a comprehensive internal and external refurbishment programme, the Barry B&M store began welcoming customers on Saturday, November 21 and saw the creation of more than 70 jobs for people living in the local area.

As part of the launch, B&M's new colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they thought truly deserved some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community.

They chose the team from Mind in the Vale, who received £250 worth of B&M vouchers to go towards supporting the local people of Glamorgan, the team also officially unveiled the new B&M store and garden centre.

Now open, B&M has given WalesOnline a glimpse into the offerings at the new branch and what's on offer ahead of Christmas.

Those wanting to get their decorations for less can do so with rows of Christmas lights, artificial trees and wrapping paper up for grabs.

There's also plenty of toys on offer, with a current two for £20 on toys deal, with oversized unicorn plush toys and more up for grabs. As well as offers from brands such as Jurassic Park, LOL, Disney Princess and Nerf.

Those keen on doing their own DIY will find tonnes of affordable Delux paint pots in the new B&M. As well as a free colour guide to make sprucing up your walls a lot easier.

You'll also find everything you need to finish off your home makeover with bath maths, matching towels, bedding and more.

As well as this, customers can also peruse hundreds of plant varieties and gardening essentials in the garden centre.
