Inside The Body Lab: How Petra Gospic Is Transforming Body Sculpting with Education, Empathy, and Empowerment

When Petra Gospic first stepped into a body sculpting studio as a client, she didn't expect the experience to reshape her entire career path. "I remember feeling completely lost," she says. "I didn't know what to do before or after the treatment, and no one really explained it to me." What stayed with her was the lack of guidance and the realization that many people, especially women, were undergoing similar experiences. That moment became the catalyst for The Body Lab, a Brooklyn-based studio focused on how clients approach body sculpting and self-care.

Founded in 2023, The Body Lab offers a range of non-invasive treatments, including radiofrequency, cavitation, Brazilian lymphatic drainage, and wood therapy, all tailored to the physiology and goals of each client. But what sets the business apart is its emphasis on education, both for clients and for practitioners. "Every woman's body is different," says Gospic. "You can't apply the same formula to everyone and expect meaningful results. Customization is everything."

Gospic's philosophy is rooted in empathy and practicality. Before any treatment begins, clients receive a complimentary consultation designed to identify their needs and understand their goals. This personalized approach helps ensure each session feels safe and intentional. "Many of my clients come to me after bad experiences elsewhere," she says. "They just want to feel comfortable, heard, and confident again."

This emphasis on human care matters profoundly. "Women often come in feeling anxious, vulnerable, or judged," Gospic says. At The Body Lab, the environment is built on respect, warm guidance, and clear communication. Every stage is explained, sensitivity is prioritized, and adjustments are ongoing.

Beyond these fundamentals, Gospic keeps her offerings accessible. "Confidence shouldn't come with barriers," she says. "My goal is that women don't feel priced out of their own self-care."

Though The Body Lab is firmly rooted in Brooklyn, Gospic envisions a sustainable model for expansion. Rather than conventional franchising, she thinks of collaboration or licensing partnerships, structures that allow others to carry The Body Lab's ethos. She wants this industry to be inclusive and approachable to everyone. "I want to protect quality and integrity as we grow," she says.

Gospic is also deeply committed to ongoing learning, a value that has become central to The Body Lab's identity. From emerging technologies in body sculpting to the latest research in lymphatic health and hormone health, she incorporates techniques only when they align with safety, efficacy, and client well-being.

For Gospic, the mission is far more than appearance. She frames The Body Lab's work as a means to help women reclaim confidence, feel comfortable in their bodies, and walk forward with dignity. "It's not about chasing some ideal," she says. "It's about helping someone feel stronger, more grounded, and more capable in their life."

The Body Lab seeks to be relational, honest, and deeply client-centered. Here, the standard is about how each person feels, is understood, and empowered. Gospic says, "If I can help someone feel better in their skin, then I'm doing what I set out to do."
