Hailey and Justin Bieber are truly giving us all a masterclass in how to keep the internet guessing — one cryptic Instagram caption at a time.
Over the weekend, Hailey Bieber — who, in case you missed it, just sold her skincare brand, Rhode, for a cool $1 billion — posted a carousel of bikini-clad snaps to celebrate the start of summer.
The original caption? “Lemon drop martinis and therapy all summer long. 👍🍋🍸”

But, in a move that had fans scrambling for the screenshot button, she later edited out the “therapy” part, leaving just the drinks in the caption.
Naturally, the internet detectives were quick to call her out. “Too many people already screenshotted the ‘therapy’ part 😂 too late to change it, Hailey,” one fan wrote.
Another chimed in: “Why did you delete the therapy part, friend?”
And honestly, fair questions — especially when you consider the context.

While Hailey was busy editing, Justin has been making his own headlines with a series of selfies and captions that could rival a moody indie film or my teenage diary. The 31-year-old pop star posted a carousel of bathroom selfies with the caption: “U could point at my flaws Or u could recognise ur own lil bitch🩸.”

Fans weren’t laughing, with many urging him to seek help and speculating drug use. “Why is no one helping this man?” wrote one user.
“This is hard to watch,” said another.
He followed it up with a post about being “tired of transactional relationships”, writing, “If I have to do something to be loved, that’s not love.”

Something is definitely up.
Just a few weeks earlier, Justin tried to celebrate Hailey’s solo Vogue cover — her first — by sharing the cover shot and a caption that, well, missed the mark.
“Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight. I told Hails that she would never be on the cover of Vogue. Yikes I know, so mean,” he wrote. He explained that he felt “so disrespected” at the time and admitted he was “sadly mistaken”.
The caption was later edited to just a string of emojis, “🤷🫵🏻🫶🏼🥹”, but not before fans roasted him for making Hailey’s big moment about a past fight.

“Another one who embarrassed his woman,” one user wrote.
“The way he just couldn’t say something nice so he just used emojis,” another said.
Others defended him for being honest about relationship struggles.
“People think relationships are perfect and that there are no arguments, he was honest and everything is fine. Be happy, and let JB be happy,” wrote one fan.

In her recent Vogue cover story, Hailey addressed the constant scrutiny, especially after the birth of their nine-month-old son, Jack. “You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit, but no,” she said.
“I thought seven years in it would’ve [died down] already, and it hasn’t. I guess these bitches are going to be mad.”
She also joked about the online conspiracy theories in Vogue’s “What’s In My Bag” video, pulling out not one, but six iPhones and quipping about using them for “surfing anonymously, commenting, stalking, viewing girls’ pages, making multiple accounts. You know, that kind of thing”.
She even showed off a “love potion” gifted by a witch that supposedly helped her snag a Canadian pop star.
I won’t lie, I ate this interview up, you can have a look here:
Between Hailey’s caption edits and Justin’s existential musings, the Biebers are keeping us all entertained and confused. Are they just trolling us? Are they genuinely struggling? Or are they simply living their lives under the microscope, one weird Instagram post at a time? Only time — and the next caption — will tell.
