Inside the Barbie-themed hotel room that's the stuff of childhood dreams

If you spent most of your childhood playing with Barbie and living out adventures vicariously through her, then we may have found your dream hotel stay.

That's because the Hilton Mexico City Santa Fe has partnered with Mattel to celebrate the iconic doll's 60th anniversary, and it's the ultimate Barbie-themed sleepover.

We're talking a pink carpet leading to the check-in desk, a life-sized DreamCamper van where you can rest up or children can play dress-up, and even a collection of rare Barbie dolls from the past six decades as part of the decor.

There are lots of extra little touches too such as a welcome kit with amenities from Colgate and Avon.

But that's not all.

There's even a life-size DreamCamper (Hilton)

The hotel is also offering up plenty of photo opps from an oversized version of the doll’s iconic pink shoe in the entrance, to a themed menu.

In fact, its restaurant MADERA is offering heart-shaped pizzas, gnocchi in pink sauce, red velvet treats and strawberry ice cream that will have you feeling like you really are eating a menu served up by Barbie herself.

Andres Korngold, General Manager of Hilton Mexico City Santa Fe, said: "Glamping is a fusion of glamour and camping, combining the convenience and luxury of a hotel with certain aspects of traditional camping.

"Barbie loves to travel, enjoys nature and cares about the environment, without forgoing the comfort of the most sophisticated accommodations. Travelers can now join in her dream glamping experience with an in-room DreamCamper that allows guests to travel in style."
