Inside the Aldi warehouse preparing to sell millions of Kevin the Carrot toys

Last year, shoppers formed huge queues to get their hands on Aldi's Kevin the Carrot range.

There were even reports of fighting in Aldi's Bootle store.

And this Christmas is set to be no different, with the budget supermarket attempting to meet unprecedented demand for the toys.

But shoppers will be limited to two soft toys per person.

More than two million Kevin the Carrot toys have now been packed, packaged and shipped and are making their way to more than 850 Aldi stores across the UK, the Liverpool Echo report.

It comes after Aldi released the toys online during the early hours of Sunday morning with many Kevin fans unable to get their hands on the toys as stock sold out, causing the website to crash.

Julie Ashfield, managing director of Buying at Aldi UK said: “Kevin the Carrot has well and truly rooted himself as a national treasure, with demand for the plush toy range increasing each year.

"As a result, we have expanded the Kevin the Carrot range, ensuring even more of his fans get a chance to take him home this Christmas.”
