Inside the 18 November edition

First a reminder: if you're a subscriber your digital edition of the Weekly can now be viewed on iPads, iPhones, Kindle Fires, Android tablets and smartphones. Just log in on the device to the digital edition and techno-magic should take you to the right format.

If you do that this week, you'll find coverage of the continuing euro crisis, of course, with a fascinating interview with Finnish far-right leader Timo Soini providing a counterpart to all of the financial manoeuvring.

But getting away from that, we take a detailed look at the state of China, from human rights and the limits to the exercise of democracy, to the way that many of the wealthy are considering emigration - driven by a mix of fear of instability and hope for their children's futures.

Our comment pages are likely, I suspect, to generate lots of letters this week, with George Monbiot exploring the place of psychopathy in modern business, and Madeleine Bunting demanding an end to the "grim consensus" on globalisation.

Still in the "big ideas" category, our front page review piece is by Margaret Atwood, who explains why she doesn't call her work "science fiction".

On the cultural side, we hear from Le Monde's Partick Labesse about the interest raised in Paris by Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, and we engage on the books pages with Joanne Burke's concept of what it means to be human.

I hope that you enjoy the issue.
