Inside the 11 November digital edition

It’s a victory that has stunned the world. Donald J. Trump is now president-elect of the United States of America.

Guardian Weekly’s digital edition has the news and analysis, plus comment from the Guardian’s key opinion makers. We’ve done a four-page US Election Extra, which is available for our subscribers online.

You’ll find a screen grab of our front page at the bottom of this editor’s email. And you can access our entire Election Extra online, along with the rest of this issue of Guardian Weekly, by visiting theguardian.com/weekly.

Our digital Election Extra sits at the top of the Weekly’s web page. If you are a first-time user, you will need your subscriber number to register. This appears on the cover sheet that accompanies the newspaper each week, or on communications from our commercial team when you subscribed.

As you may have seen from notices on our Letters page the past couple of weeks, and via this email newsletter last week, the print edition dated 11 November does not contain the US election results. That’s because of our Tuesday press deadline and complex delivery network to more than 170 countries.

We’ll provide an expanded newspaper on 18 November, with additional pages and our usual considered coverage to contextualise, analyse and more deeply understand the implications of Trump’s convincing win. Putting the world into perspective is what Weekly does best.

When the 11 November print edition does arrive, you’ll find the usual 48 pages of thoughtful coverage and in-depth reading.

As the Paris climate accord comes into force, we find some reasons for modest optimism on the environmental front.

We report on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s extended honeymoon as he marks a year in office.

We explore the implications of a “backpacker tax” in Australia.

And in New Zealand, we find that demand for manuka honey has created an alarming sense of conflict in what was once a very sweet industry.

Our deep read follows one young student through China’s exam hell. Discovery considers Zika’s puzzling path. And our Sport feature finds total respect for British tennis player Andy Murray, who has finally claimed the world No 1 position.

There’s some amazing reading coming your way.
