Inside Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder's boozy Italian holiday as they film new BBC show

Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder have kept fans captivated with their exploits in Italy, as they travel the breathtaking country to film a new BBC show.

Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour sees them follow in the footsteps of 19th century poet Lord Byron, and immerse themselves in the rich culture of Italy as they mark the 200th anniversary of the poet’s death.

The pals started their adventure in Venice, before journeying on to Florence and Rome, and Rylamn has documented highlights of their trip on social media, much to the delight of their fans.

The 34-year-old, who has nicknamed Rob his “nan” on the trip, has been poking fun at the TV presenter, who is only 11 years older than him.

“In other news this is how the night ended with @RobbieRinder , like taking ya nan out,” he captioned a snap of Rob sat on the pavement in front of a cash machine in Rome.

He later posted a snap of them looking cosy on a gondola in Venice, as he heaped praise on his co-host and travel companion.

“I’m off to enjoy my final day in Italy, finishing the show we’ve been making. Spending it with the wonderful @RobbieRinder has been such a joy. Thanks Rob and to our incredible team,” Rylan gushed.

The unlikely duo have been taking in the sights and sounds of Italy over the last few weeks, and even dressed up in Renaissance attire while in the capital.

“When in Rome,” Rylan captioned the snap, which showed him wearing a huge wig and pale make-up.

On Instagram, the former It Takes Two host posted a video of him and Rob getting in a taxi, with the Judge Rinder star laid down on the back seat.

“Morning nan!” Rylan exclaimed, cackling as Rob looked distinctly unimpressed.

“I’m tired,” he complained.

When the series was announced, Rob admitted he and Rylan would have “different intentions” for the trip.

“I can’t think of anyone I’d rather do this journey with,” he added.

While Rylan said he was looking forward to teaching Rob how to let his hair down.

“Rob will be teaching me all about Italian history and art as we follow in the footsteps of the cultural greats, while I show Rob how to dance on bars,” the former X Factor star quipped.
