Inside Ronan Keating’s family life as he becomes grandad - luxury mansion, kids and Boyzone success

Fans went wild with the news on Thursday evening when Ronan Keating’s eldest son Jack revealed that he had become a first time dad.

Boyzone star Ronan is all set to embark on a brand new adventure, as he became a granddad for the first time, aged just 46.

Sharing a black and white photo cradling a newborn baby, new Dad Jack wrote: "Welcome to the world my little [princess emoji]”, prompting an outpouring of love from his fellow Love Islanders - and members of his family.

Among the comments on the image, Jack’s little sister Ali wrote: "Couldn't be happier. So proud of you", while his step-mum, fashion designer Storm Keating, simply added several heart emojis.

Well known for his close bond to his children, Ronan was described by Jack as his “best mate”, with the doting father even publicly cheering on his son prior to his Love Island appearance last year.

When asked if he had any claims to fame, in his pre-show interview, Jack replied: "Yeah my dad is a singer, Ronan Keating. He will be watching when I’m on it for sure. He’s buzzing for me, me and my dad are very close, we’re best mates.”

Ronan shares Jack with his ex-wife Yvonne Connolly, 48, along with daughters Missy, 21, and Ali, 16.

The former couple were married from 1998 until 2015 and still remain good friends to this day.

In addition to his children with Yvonne, Ronan is also a proud dad to son Cooper, five, and two year old daughter Coco, who he shares with his current wife Storm Keating.

The Aussie born designer first embarked on a relationship with Ronan back in 2015, after initially meeting in September 2012 when they were both working on The X-Factor Australia.

The loved up couple went on to tie the knot in 2015 after Ronan’s divorce was finalised, and announced they were expecting their first child together in December 2016.

The little one, son Cooper, was born on April 27, 2017, much to the delight of family man Ronan.

Taking to social media to share the news at the time, Ronan wrote: “Incredibly excited to announce the arrival.

“We’re all bursting with love for the newest little member of our family!”

He then continued: “Feeling very blessed to be daddy to this little man and the luckiest man in the world to be husband to such a strong, loving and warm-hearted woman and add to my beautiful family.”

Fast forward three years and the couple were blessed once again, when they announced the birth of their daughter Coco in March 2020, shortly after the Covid-19 pandemic had shut down large parts of the world.

The Irishman broke the news on Instagram, writing: “Hello world Spreading some good cheer at this time with the announcement of the safe delivery of our little girl Coco Knox Keating.”

Alongside his young family, Ronan currently lives in Hertfordshire, in a lavish £5million countryside mansion that the couple have spent the last five years renovating.

Thanks to their handiwork, the couple have transformed their traditional countryside house into a modern zero carbon home - and even documented the process on their very own interiors Instagram account named The Keating House.
