Inside Robbie Williams' mansion on sale for £6.75m complete with cinema and football pitch

Robbie Williams has put his Wiltshire mansion on the market for £6.75m - complete with luxury cinema and its own football pitch.

The big move comes as the musician and his wife Ayda Williams find they are increasingly spending more time abroad.

According to Robbie and his American model and actress wife, Compton Bassett House in Compton Bassett near Calne has been the perfect escape for their family.

Nestling on the edge of the small village, the period house, has supposedly recently been restored to an exemplary standard with superb indoor pool and magical gardens.

It also has a luxury cinema room, a football pitch and a helicopter pad - perfect for the jet-setting buyer - as well as a quad bike track for fun weekends at home.

"It is where Ayda and I truly fell in love, set roots as a couple, and dreamed of our future family," the superstar said.

"Since then, we have welcomed four beautiful children into the gracious rooms at Compton Bassett House, where we have shared much laughter and joy.

"The gardens and trees have enchanted us with their magic, and on rainy days (of which there are many in England), we have played and splashed around the indoor pool, much to our delight.

"Compton Bassett House is most definitely a family friendly house that deserves to have much more laughter and joy within its beautiful walls. We hope the incoming purchaser will enjoy just as much as we have.”

The manor was purchased by the former boy-band singer in 2008 and was put up for sale as early as two years later.

The purchase of the Williams' new home oversees has prompted the superstar to put Compton Bassett House back on the market, this followed the celebrity's suggestion that it was 'haunted.'

In an Instagram Live in 2020, he told fans: "We have got a very, very old property — it is like 1,000 years old. There is one room that I am suspicious of. It gives me the creeps."

Beyond the star's suggestion of supernatural activity in the stately home, Rupert Sweeting, Partner at Knight Frank believes the estate makes the perfect family home.

“Compton Bassett House is a fantastic family house that is ideal for entertaining," he said.

"Although our clients are sad to be leaving, they’re certain that the next owners will love it as much as they have.

"The house has the benefit of being on the edge of the village but also has beautiful gardens and grounds surrounding it providing complete privacy and protection.”

The property is listed for sale with Knight Frank for a guide price of £6,750,000. For further details click here.
