Inside Rangers' new normal as revealing video tour lifts lid on return to training

Rangers have offered a glimpse inside their return to training with an illuminating video tour.

Steven Gerrard's squad returned to Auchenhowie on Monday for a first pre-season training session following the three-month Covid-19 shutdown.

They join the likes of Celtic, Aberdeen, Kilmarnock and Ross County in taking the first, tentative steps towards a return to the pitch.

Players have been allowed back into the training ground but restrictions remain in place for now, with player workstations placed well apart.

Changings rooms are off-limits, as is any contact training.

Stars such as Ianis Hagi and Jermain Defoe can be seen having their temperatures checked upon arrival as part of the stringent safety checks required under Scottish Government guidelines.

On the pitch, the likes of Nikola Katic and Borna Barisic ploughed a lone furrow under the watchful eye of Gerrard.

The footage, posted on the official Rangers website, also provides fans with another glimpse at the club's new Castore training kit.

Earlier social media images offered a brief glimpse into the much-hyped gear.
