The final days of Goodfellas star Paul Sorvino were shared on social media in a number of heartbreaking posts.
The actor passed away aged 83 and his wife Dee Dee had documented some good times that they shared earlier this month.
It would seem that Paul was able to enjoy the high life with Dee Dee hashtagging the pics stating that they are a 'happy couple'.
Just two weeks ago, Dee Dee wrote on Twitter to her 5,000 followers: "Happy Tuesday”
She posted a sweet photo of her with Paul which she added the caption: "#happycouple”
Five days later, on July 17, Dee Dee shared a snap of Paul tucking into some ice cream, which seemed to be in a worthy cause at the time.
She captioned the happy pic: "Happy National Ice Cream Day!
“Paul loves ice cream. He will have some about once a day, it’s maybe once a year for me. Enjoy!”
The day before announcing his death, Dee Dee shared on July 24 that Paul had been celebrating another national day.
This time it was in recognition of tequila and Paul was seen holding a glass of the spirit while holding his wife's hand.
Dee Dee captioned the pic of the cocktail drinking: “Here I am with Paul at the Amazing Hollywood Museum @HollywoodMuseum mixing my ‘Hollywood Star‘ a tequila cocktail!”
After the joyous posts, Paul's wife then confirmed on social media, the sad news that he had passed away.
She said: "Our hearts are broken, there will never be another Paul Sorvino, he was the love of my life, and one of the greatest performers to ever grace the screen and stage."
Paul's daughter, Mira, then paid loving tribute to her father, posting on Twitter: "My father the great Paul Sorvino has passed.
"My heart is rent asunder- a life of love and joy and wisdom with him is over. He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much. I’m sending you love in the stars Dad as you ascend."
Over his five decade-long Hollywood career he starred in almost 50 films, with his most hailed role being in Martin Scorcese's 1990 masterpiece Goodfellas as mobster Paul Cicero.
