Inside Nailsea's only ever nightclub which is now up for sale

For years it was a place where you could go for a boogie and a drink after hours.

But now Nailsea’s only ever nightclub - Decades - has gone up for sale.

The High Street property was formerly Nailsea Members Club before transforming into the RM Bar and then Decades nightclub before it closed in 2015.

Planning permission was then obtained to turn the first floor building into six one bed and three two bed flats.

But this permission has now lapsed.

The 4000 sq ft building - which has already been stripped out - has now gone on the market and is being sold via online auction with a price tag of £375,000.

But once developed into flats, it is estimated the site could be worth £1.4 million.

And interest in the site - being marketed by property agents Hollis Morgan - has been buoyant.

Hollis Morgan director Andrew Morgan said: “There has been a lot of interest in the site, mainly from developers.

“It’s a great opportunity as it is in a central location close to local facilities and with good links to public transport.”

The online auction takes place on June 23.
