Terri said: "Meeting people via dating apps is often looked down upon but we are proud of how we met and hope our story helps others to find their soulmate too.

"We got engaged in Prague on Charles Bridge in the pouring rain in November 2019. We were the only people on the bridge and it was just perfect! I had no idea Peter was going to propose. He planned everything down to a tee, from asking my dad for my hand in marriage to wrapping the ring up in a note, just in case airport security wanted to take a closer look!"

Tell us all about your big day!

I know it sounds cliché but our wedding was absolutely perfect, it could not have gone any better! It really was the best day of our lives with all the people that we care about watching us get married. It was a very emotional day! We had a humanist wedding and it really was about our love for each other.

How did you begin planning?

We got engaged around November time. We enjoyed the many engagement celebrations and began planning around February time. The year and month was the first thing we planned and whether we would do a destination wedding. Though after a brief conversation it was confirmed we would definitely have our wedding in Northern Ireland.

How did you decide on the venue?

We had a few venues in mind and went to view them. There was one in particular that we loved but it was just missing something! Peter and I wanted our wedding to be relaxed and were set on a BBQ for the evening meal and unfortunately this venue could not do this.

My uncle and mum told me about Rossharbour. They even went to check it out and sent me videos and pictures! We booked a viewing on the most wintery day with snow, wind and torrential rain and we totally fell in love! It was us and we were totally smitten with our venue.

Tell us all about your wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses & suits!

I went to a few different wedding dress shops. I loved shopping for my wedding dress! In the second shop, I was pretty certain the style I wanted and I knew I didn't want white or ivory but wanted a little colour in my dress. We took a trip to Perfect Day in Lurgan and I told Sinead the style and colour (a little bit of blush) I wanted and she came out with the one. It literally was perfect! We even added shoulders to my dress to make it more bling. I was so obsessed with my dress, though I was not allowed pictures as I would show everyone, so when the time did come I had almost forgotten what it looked like, though I do think this is a good thing for brides in case they change their mind!

We got our bridesmaid dresses from Folkster Dundrum. There is nowhere else I would get our dresses from, their dresses are incredible and I had my eye on a few for quite some time! It was my sister who was a bridesmaid who ended up picking the dresses. I wanted my bridesmaids to go with the one that they felt most comfortable in. We got our suits in Freddie Hatchet, we wanted to go somewhere local for us. We were really impressed with the guys in the shop, they were great at their job! We had no challenges with our dresses or suits.

What was the best part in the build up?

The best part of the build up to our day was the planning. Peter and I loved planning our wedding. We mostly did everything ourselves, from designing our invitations, name cards, seating plan to making our own crisp wall and flower arch. Thankfully Peter was able to make all my ideas come to life! We were so excited to see the day come together.

I didn't feel nervous at all leading up to the wedding, we were just so excited for the day and to spend it with our family and friends. We both had so much fun at our hen and stag parties, I went to Barcelona and Peter went to Manchester.

What was the best moment of your day and your other favourite parts?

It's hard to pinpoint the best moment of our day as we loved it so much. I loved getting ready with my sisters (bridesmaids), travelling in the car with my family to Rossharbour and then meeting Peter down the aisle! I couldn't wait to see him. He was so busy in the morning of the wedding sorting everything out.

I enjoyed getting our pictures taken with our absolutely fantastic photographer Ryan Ward. It gave us a chance to catch up and tell each other about our mornings. I also loved our first dance. We had a few dance lessons leading up to the wedding and our first dance was 'From Now On' - The Greatest Showman. A film that is so very special to us.

What would you tell other bride and grooms to plan first & what are your top tips?

I would advise other brides and grooms to first of all work out a budget as weddings can be very expensive. Once you have a budget in mind you can then work on your venue. The most important for me was the venue, photographer and hair and make up! Top tip - enjoy the planning! It is so worth it and you will be sad when it's all over. Peter and I don't know what to do with ourselves now! We are currently working on designing our thank you cards, we even miss the wedding prep! Also don't get carried away with silly things like centrepieces, no one even looks at them.

What were the hardest parts to plan?

I would say working and planning a wedding was definitely the hardest thing. Six months before the wedding we dedicated two evenings a week for two hours to do wedding admin. Though it got to the stage where it was wedding admin/planning every night! Other than that we didn't have any difficulties thankfully.

Did you have a theme?

We didn't have a theme exactly. We wanted our wedding to be casual, relaxed and for everyone to enjoy the day as much as us. The comments we have had about our wedding have been so nice. My aunt and uncle even said it was better than their wedding! We are so happy our family and friends had a great day too. We are delighted they loved Rossharbour as much as us. We loved coming home from our honeymoon talking about it, reliving it all again.

Would you change anything?

Honestly I wouldn't do anything differently. I would do it all again in a heartbeat if I could. The wedding and honeymoon blues have hit!
