Inside MSC Cruises' biggest ever cruise ship as it prepares to sail this year

MSC Cruises is preparing to welcome its biggest ever cruise ship later this year!

With a gross tonnage of 181,000 and a capacity for 6,334 passengers, MSC Grandiosa will be the biggest ship in the MSC fleet.

The ship is setting sail in November, but now the cruise line has offered a glimpse of what guests can expect with a video tour of renderings of the ship's interiors from the cabins to the lounges.

It quickly becomes clear as to why this is one of the most highly-anticipated new cruise ships for 2019.

One of MSC's Meraviglia-Plus class ships, the cruise line has seriously upped the stakes for its latest ship.

MSC Grandiosa (Grandiosa)

Think spacious cabins including balconies with their own hot tubs, pools, a luxury spa, a promenade packed with boutiques and heaps of dining venues on board including a tapas bar, a French bistro, a steak restaurant and even a Teppanyaki restaurant.

That's not counting the various bars and lounges where drinks and nibbles await.

Even the entertainment is sure to be top notch with two new Cirque de Soleil at Sea shows, the swish Yacht Club, top deck pool, kids' clubs for little ones and a promenade that will be packed with boutiques.

Passengers will also be able to use ZOE - think the cruise version of Amazon's Alexa - which debuted on MSC Bellissima earlier this year.

MSC Grandiosa will be christened on the 9th November in a lavish ceremony in Hamburg, Germany, but you can already book on to the glamorous Mediterranean itineraries on offer.

In fact in 2020 her summer season will include a debut from the historic port of Genoa, Italy, sailing on to Naples. From there she will journey on to the likes of the Messina in Sicily, Valletta, the capital of Malta, as well as Barcelona in Spain and Marseilles in France, finishing off by heading back to Genoa.
