Inside Manchester's most festive bar complete with Christmas trees, roaring fires and unlimited mince pies

Christmas trees, tinsel and mince pies - the festive season has officially arrived in Manchester. I know what you're thinking, we've not even ticked off Bonfire Night yet, but as we all know, Christmas waits for no man and that's certainly the case at Miracle on Cross Street - Manchester's 'most festive bar'.

The Christmas bar will be flinging open its festive doors this November. And we took a sneak peek at what to expect from the bar located just a stones throw from Manchester's Christmas Markets. After three years in Liverpool, the pop-up launched in Manchester last Christmas, and returns this year with more festive fun in store.

Situated beneath Salt Dog Slim's, and accessed via a secret door and winter wonderland, Miracle on Cross Street is decked out to the nines. Walk down the snow-covered stairs and green and red neon signs guide you to the main bar area, which is decked out with tinsel, Christmas trees adorned with baubles, candy cane decorations.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News , the bar's owner Nick tells us: "We are basically all things Christmas. We are adult-only, so we serve cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, unlimited mince pies and we want to offer a space that gives anyone who comes down here an amazing Christmas feeling.

"Whether you're sat by the fireplace with the stockings or over by the Christmas trees, there will be Christmas music playing, the drinks will be flowing, there's table service and every guests that books in gets a goodie bag and a complimentary cocktail - all we want to do is spread some Christmas cheer and get people stuck into the festive season."

Speaking of free cocktails, the selection here is as expected festive-themed with a number of sweet tipples to get you in the party spirit. Highlights include: The Christmas Cracker, a warming blend of spiced rum , amaretto cranberry, ginger beer and lime; Apple Pie Martini, a seasonal beverage encompassing vodka, apple liqueur, apple juice, caramel, cream and cinnamon; and the Espresso-Ho Ho Martini, a riff on a classic with the edition of salted caramel and chocolate.

"We've got twists on classic cocktails, whether it be espresso martinis, homemade Irish ,cream, mulled wine on the go 24/7, plus other classics like white Russians and our own bespoke Christmas cocktails, so there's plenty to choose from. There's also non-alcoholic options, plus we're also serving hot dogs.
