While we’ve been caught up in Big Brother Australia tea and end of year sales, Le Bal des Débutantes (AKA the ultimate nepo baby ball) kicked off in the ultra luxe Shangri-La Paris hotel in Paris, France, and it’s nothing short of bougie.
Established in 1994 by Ophélie Renouard, Le Bal des Débutantes, simply known as Le Bal, is a modern debutante ball where young women from high-status families are introduced into society.
Think of it as a modern-day version of an 18th-century English debutante ball (OR you can just picture the subplot of She’s The Man, where Amanda Bynes complies with her mother’s wishes in becoming a debutant so she can go undercover as her brother to play football).
In previous years, Le Bal featured stars we all know and love today, including Margaret Qualley, Apple Martin, Lily Collins, Billie Lourd, Lori Harvey, and Scout and Tallulah Willis.
In 2025’s Bridgerton-esque shebang, a series of familiar names and faces graced the halls of Shangri-La Paris, including Bronwyn Golden Vance, the daughter of Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance.
Ahead of Le Bal, the official account shared images of Bronwyn working alongside French fashion designer Stéphane Rolland on her debutante gown.

Rolland then shared footage of Bronwyn at the Le Bal, who donned a floor-length, white ball gown, encrusted with golden floral details. It’s elevated, it’s couture, it’s iconic and we’re obsessed with it!

Following the theme of high fashion, Carolina Herrera’s granddaughter Carolina Lansing was invited to the ball. Of course, Carolina wore a dress by OG Carolina.
The cvnty bob really pulls the look together.

Alongside screen and fashion royalty, legit links to the crown also debuted at the Shangri-La Paris. Winston Churchill descendant and distant cousin of Princess Diana, Lady Araminta Spencer-Churchill, graced Le Bal donning Armani couture and a blinding necklace loaned from Le Bal jeweller V Muse.

Spanish royalty HRH Princess Eulalia de Orléans-Borbon swept the ballroom in Tony Ward couture. Reflecting on her invite and interview with PEOPLE, the princess revealed she “accepted immediately” when she was sent the invite.
“Madame Ophélie sent an invitation to my mother around August or September this year. I accepted immediately and was thrilled to take part,” she told the publication.
Other notable debutantes include Ella Wadia, the great-great-great-granddaughter of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Gabrielle Janssens de Balkany, the granddaughter of Princess Maria Gabriella of Savoy, Sarah Bae, the daughter of former Elle editor Joseph Bae, and Alice Wang, the daughter of tech founder Chuanfu Wang and Stella Li, CEO of BYD Americas.
Chairman of Donald Trump‘s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, David Sacks, and Saint Haven founder, Jacqueline Sack‘s daughter, Reagan Sacks, also debuted at Le Bal, and posted her experience on TikTok.
Alongside being dubbed the Met Gala for teens and nepo babies, Le Bal also serves as a fundraiser for charities that support young women.
This time around, the money was donated to the Association for Cardiology Research from Fetus to Adult at Necker Hospital in Paris and New York’s Maria Fareri Hospital.
