Inside Ken Doherty's mansion as he sells €2.5m property after split from wife

Snooker legend Ken Doherty is selling his Rathgar home in south Dublin.

Ken and his wife Sarah are selling up their home after it was revealed the couple are separating.

Last month, the Irish snooker icon confirmed he's no longer in a relationship with his partner of 20 years.

The 52-year-old told the Irish Sunday Mirror : “It was an amicable split, we’d been together for 20 years and we’ve got a son together. We both love him very much and we’re both still friends. We still talk on the phone.”

The couple's Rathgar home located on Highfield Road is now on the market with an asking price of €2.5million, reports Dublin Live.

The four-bedroom house includes a lounge, living room, lobby, study, media room, kitchen, utility room and family room.

The house retains a wealth of original features including marble mantelpieces, ceiling cornice and centre roses, picture and dado rails, timber doors and floors.

Ken and his wife embraced their unique sense of style when decorating the house, with bold wallpaper and bright furniture can be seen through out the property.

Automatic gates are at the entrance, with a stunning Boston ivy clad front facade greeting you as you arrive at the property.

There is a 140 feet lawn with patio areas, bedding with shrubs, trees, a koi pond - perfect for nature lovers.

The house is situated on one of south Dublin’s most sought after roads, with Rathgar village in walking distance.

Speaking to Independent.ie recently, Ken said about the split and sale of the house: “We’re still very good friends but these days I’m based in England a lot. My son is also attending school in England and Sarah wants a change so we’re putting it on the market.”
