Jennifer Lopez has shared pictures from her Las Vegas wedding to Ben Affleck. The 52-year-old singer and actor, 49, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the weekend.
Last year the pair rekindled their romance more than 20 years after they first dated which led to Ben proposing in 2002. They postponed their wedding in September 2003 before they went their separate ways in the following January.
The walked down the aisle together on July 16, in Las Vegas, after queuing for a marriage license alongside four other happy couples, according to Lopez. Jennifer detailed the events of their wedding on her official newsletter, On The JLo, on Sunday evening, which also revealed the first images of the bride in her white dress, writes The Mirror.
All five of the pair's children - Ben shares Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, while Lopez shares 14-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony - were in attendance as witnesses.
According to Jennifer, the couple almost didn't get married as they struggled to make the chapel on time. "They graciously stayed open late a few minutes," she wrote.
"Let us take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, evidently once used by the king himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself to show, that cost extra and he was in bed)."
Celebrity hair artist Chris Appleton posted a video of Jennifer moments before she was due to walk down the aisle as she got ready in the chapel's changing room. The superstar was beaming as he quizzed her on her emotions in the post, which he captioned: "Last minute feelings before the wedding...."
She said in the video: "I feel amazing. I'm so excited. I've had this dress for so many years, I was just saving and saving and saving it and now I'm wearing it on my wedding day."
On her newsletter, J-Lo published photos of herself in the flowing white dress while Ben took a selfie in a separate changing room as he donned a white jacket and black bow tie for the nuptials.
She continued: ""Stick around long enough and maybe you'll find the best moment of your life in a drive through in Las Vegas at twelve thirty in the morning in the tunnel of love drive through, with your kids and the one you'll spend forever with.
"Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things - and worth waiting for. "
Jennifer signed off the newsletter: "With love, Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck."
