Inside huge 'fully-immersive' Game of Thrones themed attraction set to open in the UK

A huge, 'fully-immersive' Game of Thrones themed studio tour will soon open its doors to fans in the UK.

Fans of the popular HBO fantasy series will be able to step inside the world of Westeros and beyond throughout the new experience.

It's tipped to be similar in style to the Harry Potter studio tour in Watford.

According to reports, visitors will be able to wander through the show's iconic sets - including Dragonstone's Throne Room and Map Room, Castle Black's Mess Room, Cersei's Courtyard in King's Landing and even the famous Winterfell.

From the artist's impressions, it looks pretty impressive.

Plans for the Game of Thrones studio tour were revealed last year, but it was only given the go-ahead by authorities at Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council this month - meaning work can now get underway.

The hotly-anticipated attraction will be located at the Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge - fitting, given Northern Ireland is one of the shows filming locations with some of the most memorable scenes filmed at the studios.

Fans will be able to wander authentic sets from the series, and get a close look at costumes and props used in the show.  Guests will also be able to go behind-the-scenes in the makeup and prosthetics department home to the show's graphic special effects.

The attraction will also have original props and costumes on display (HBO Game of Thrones¨ Studio Tour)

Visitors will also be able to marvel at the Game of Thrones armoury, featuring the wide range of weapons used by the characters in the show.

There are also plans to replicate a studio catering experience in an in-house restaurant at the site.

No firm date has yet been set for the opening of the new attraction, and it has not been revealed how much tickets are expected to be, but it is promised to be a "deeply immersive and sensory experience".
