Inside Honey G's weight loss makeover from cutting out sugar to buying sexy lingerie

Honey G looks totally different dropping two stone and undergoing a radical makeover - and she's now revealed the secrets to her weight loss success.

The rapper shot to fame on The X Factor in 2016 and has since admitted she was struggling with her self-confidence at the time, wearing "loose and baggy" size 18 clothes to hide her body.

Since drastically changing her diet and embracing a new exercise regime, Honey G has shed two stone and prefers to show off her figure in tight fitting clothes.

She told Closer magazine: "I turned 40 this year and I feel like I'm in incredible shape. I've been blown away by compliments from people who tell me how great I look I used to wear loose and baggy clothes that went up to a size 18, but I've thrown most of them away as my taste has matured."

"Now I wear outfits I wouldn't have dreamt of wearing, and I can fit into nice underwear from Victoria's Secret.

"It's given me a massive confidence boost and I feel like I've finally got the sex factor!"

Honey - whose real name is Anna Gilford - has also been limiting carbs and cutting out sugar.

She said: "I watch what I eat, and make sure I'm not constantly eating carbs. I do a lot of cardio and will eat pasta, but it's all about portion size.

"I'd never have a big plate of fried chips, I'll stick to a few tablespoons of rice instead, and have smaller potatoes," she explained.

The X Factor contestant has also turned to exercise in a bid to shed the pounds.

She told Daily Star Online recently: "Lockdown has proved to me that doing lots of exercise can make you lose weight.

"I went to see a top obesity specialist and a dietician in the past and I was trying to lose weight by changing my diet but during lockdown I combined changing my diet and doing a large amount of exercise.

"I've been probably doing more exercise in lockdown than I have in my whole life."
