Inside Holly Willoughby's £3,000-a-night Maldives holiday - and THAT private plunge pool

While the UK baked in an unprecedented Easter heatwave, Holly Willoughby and her family were soaking up the sun in paradise.

The This Morning host headed to the five-star Six Senses Laamu resort in the Maldives, where rooms cost up to a staggering £3,155 a night.

But while the prices might be eye-watering, the views are dreamy with the bars, restaurants and over-water villas offering panoramic views of the sun rising and setting over the ocean.

For £133 per head, guests can dine from the set menu at the resort's signature restaurant, Leaf, with offerings including quail eggs, fresh scallops and lobster.

There's even a dedicated ice cream and chocolate studio which serves more than forty flavours alongside truffles and sorbets.

After dinner, guests can retire to one of the over-water bars and sip cocktails on steps heading down to the lapping waves.

Situated just five degrees above the equator, the azure lagoon is teaming with parrotfish, turtles and dolphins.

And the rooms are equally as jaw-dropping, boasting outdoor glass sunken bathtubs and private over-water plunge pools above the beautiful lagoon.

Meanwhile, there's a host of activities on offer, with Holly and fellow TV star Davina McCall - who bumped into each other on the island - hitting the surf on Laamu's famous Yin Yang wave.

From diving, surfing, wakeboarding, catamaran sailing, island hopping and private picnics, there's no shortage of ways to keep busy.

And the kids club provides some rather high-brow activities, including yoga, snorkelling, jewellery-making and cinema under the stars.

Then there's the spa. For £170 you can enjoy a 90-minute massage, or perhaps sample one of the many varieties of yoga.

You can even try pranyama - which promises to "tame the monkey mind, calming down its more extrovert tendencies."

Sounds blissful.
