Inside Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty's 'feud with his mother' as no-nonsense dad Gordon 'steps in'

Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty have reportedly found themselves locked in a feud with his family set to rival the rift shrouding the Beckhams.

Gordon Ramsay’s influencer daughter, 25, and the Olympic swimming legend, 30, have been dating for more than two years and are set to marry at Bath Abbey at Christmas.

The couple have reportedly fallen out with Adam’s mother Caroline Peaty, 59, and uninvited her from their upcoming nuptials.

Holly reportedly caused tensions when she failed to invite Caroline to her hen do at celebrity hotspot Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds over the weekend - although sources claimed the issues “go deeper” than that.

Things have now escalated with Adam’s brother James, 34, getting arrested over allegations he sent threats to the swimmer during his stag do.

The athlete got a police escort at Manchester Airport on Sunday as he returned home from the lads’ trip to Budapest, Hungary.

As reports come in of Gordon, 59, wading into the rift with his “no-nonsense” attitude, The Standard uncovers the savage details that have emerged from both sides of the family.

James Peaty was reportedly questioned by police on Monday before being released on conditional bail after allegations he sent Adam verbal threats.

Adam was reportedly “freaked out” by the “increasingly abusive” threats he was getting.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “We arrested a 34-year-old man, from the Uttoxeter area, on 11 November 2025, on suspicion of harassment.

“The man was released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue.”

Adam was believed to have been met by five uniformed police officers when the plane touched down at Manchester Airport.

“The issues that have been reported don't stem from hen do or wedding invitations; it goes so much deeper,” a source told The Sun.

“Things escalated over the weekend when someone became increasingly abusive and threatening over text. Adam was trying to enjoy his stag do and was getting freaked out by it all.

“He then received a threat that he'd be met off the plane. He told Holly who called the cops after consulting with her family.”

The feud between Adam and the rest of his family allegedly began brewing when he started dating Holly.

At her hen do, model Holly was seen partying with her mother, Tana Ramsay, her sisters Megan and Tilly, Victoria, Adam’s sister Bethany, and a group of glamorous friends at a lavish retreat in the Cotswolds.

She shared a slew of photos with the gang on Instagram, writing: “My girls gave me the best weekend, my heart is so full.”

The apparent snub of her mother-in-law Caroline from the event was worsened by Adam inviting his future father-in-law Gordon to his own stag night, according to MailOnline.

Adam’s aunt Louise Williams stepped in on social media to call out Holly for missing Caroline out of her hen do in a move she branded “hurtful and divisive”.

“I'm so glad that you had a great hen do. As a bride, you deserve that,” she penned.

“However, as a person you were divisive and hurtful towards a woman, who I have loved and continue to love deeply.

“A woman who opened her home and heart to you. You decided, for whatever reason, not to invite her, your prospective mother-in-law to your hen night yet Adam invited his father-in-law, your dad, to his stag night.

“You invited your mum (quite rightly) and even your mum's assistant, your sisters, your friends, my niece, but not my sister, your future mother-in-law.

“I have also seen messages passing between her and Adam about this and other matters and, quite frankly, I expected better of you and definitely of Adam.”

She concluded: “You have inflicted a hurt on my sister that will take a very long time to heal if ever.”

The Standard has contacted representatives for Holly and Adam for comment.

Caroline also appeared to wade into the row by writing on Instagram: “Crying is a way your eyes speak when your mouth can't explain how broken your heart is.”

Another post read: “The ones I love are the people who hurt me the most. When you love someone, you protect them from the pain, you don’t become the cause of it.”

Louise’s post allegedly “deeply upset” Holly and Adam and reportedly prompted the swimmer to contact his mother to ban her from the wedding.

Adam - who has talked to The Standard about his depression and alcohol dependence in the past - also reportedly told her she would not see his five-year-old son George or any future grandchildren again.

“Caroline is devastated by the rift and doesn't know what she has done wrong,” a source told MailOnline.

“Adam's relationship with his mum and dad Mark are at an all-time low, and now she's not coming to the wedding.”

The insider claimed Caroline had been “so excited” and wanted to make table setting name plates for the wedding, but has since been told her “help wasn’t needed”.

“As time has gone on, things have become strained and there have been rows, the tension has been very fraught. Caroline is in pieces and is absolutely heartbroken that it's gotten to this point,” the source added.

The only member of Adam’s family who will attend the wedding is his sister Bethany, with nobody else being able to afford the hotel costs, according to the outlet.

Elsewhere, Adam’s aunt Louise claimed on social media that Holly and Adam banned Caroline from the wedding because she did not apologise for failing to attend a recent family trip to Bath due to cancelled trains.

Holly and Adam had reportedly offered to buy a Caroline a wedding dress during a trip to Bath - however the day out never happened due to train services being delayed or cancelled because of the knife attack on a train in Cambridgeshire.

A source claimed Adam “went mad” that Caroline and his father Mark couldn’t make the journey and claimed they had “wasted his money”.

Louise wrote on Instagram: “She's not ok at all. Holly and Adam have broken my darling sister.

“They banned her [from the wedding] because she would not apologise re the cancellation of the Bath trip because of the train cancellation and Caroline's refusal to turn her back on her sons, his brothers who both suffer from ADHD and mental health problems.

“Caroline is one of those few people who is genuinely kind, if she sees a need she fills it. I tell her she is too kind sometimes because her feelings can get hurt. As sisters we argue, we dont speak but we love each other to death. I am very protective of her.”

In another post, she penned: “Holly never invited her to the hen night but everyone else's mother was and she has been excluded from the wedding...

“Caroline and Mark sacrificed everything for Adam and this is how they treat her. When I say something on her thread I am threatened with repercussions!!!! I pointed out the truth cannot be silenced.”

Caroline herself intervened when one of her followers wrote: “Oh give it over. Apologise to your son. All that's wrong with you is that you don't want to be left alone, let your son grow up he is an adult. Now you grow up.”

Gordon has reportedly waded into the row with a ‘top PR machine’ (Gordon Ramsay Restaurants)

She wrote: “You know nothing about me or my family and your comment is not appreciated.

“As for your comment saying I don’t want my ‘son to grow up’ is a laugh, I’m happy when my children are happy as any mother is...

“There was no one happier than me when my son told me he had met his soul mate x I hope that this clarifies the situation x.”

Adam’s sister Bethany - who attended the hen do - and her aunt Janet waded in too and liked a comment reading: “You'd hope the Beckhams would be the first to reach out, given their situation...

“Hold your head up high; not many Mums would've got up at 4am for those pool runs. Adam should be so proud.”

On the Ramsays side, sources told MailOnline that anyone who knows the family - including Holly’s siblings Jack, Megan and Tilly - describe them as “warm” and “super friendly”.

Tana,51, is reportedly all too aware of the pain of family feuds due to her best friend Victoria’s apparent issues with her eldest son Brooklyn.

As for Gordon, an insider said that while he is “kind and caring”, he won’t let anything “ruin his beloved daughter’s wedding”.

The celebrity cook reportedly has a “top PR machine” and isn’t going to “take any nonsense” from the Peaty family.

Adam and Holly met on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021 when Adam and Holly’s younger sister Tilly were both competing in the series.

Adam split with his partner Eirianedd Munro, with whom he shares son George, in 2022.

He and Holly reportedly began dating in May 2023 and confirmed their romance the following month.

They announced their engagement in September 2024.

"I am marrying my best friend. I truly cannot put into words how I am feeling right now. I still remember how big my smile was the morning I got home from my first date with you,” Holly shared on Instagram at the time.

“Thank you for letting the little girl inside of me feel loved, seen and happier than ever. I love you & I cannot wait to be your wife.”

She also mentioned Adam’s son, George, writing: “I promise to always be there with you and George, I’m so grateful to be in his life and I cannot wait for more.

“Everything is better with you. Everything has been better since you. Here’s to forever. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13."
