Inside Harry Potter experience 90 minutes from Nottingham

Embark on a magical experience at Arley Hall & Gardens in Cheshire, which is home to Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience.

It brings the wizarding world to life just 90 minutes away from Nottingham.

You can see the magical creatures from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beast films in the brand-new walking trail that takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes to complete, reports the Liverpool Echo.

The magical creatures and wizarding trail are brought to life with special effects, lights and sounds.

Your journey into the Forbidden Forest begins with a guide giving a brief safety talk before using Dumbledore's iconic deluminator to light up the start of the trail and set you on your way.

Sound effects, music from the films and iconic scenes from Harry Potter can be heard throughout the trail. It can be a little creepy in places due to the sounds of dark creatures being heard in the distance, so keep an eye on younger children!

There are plenty of interactive photo opportunities, including earning Buckbeak's trust and posing with wands that look like you're duelling with one another.

Of course, no Forbidden Forest trail would be complete without Aragog’s lair. Come face to face with Hagrid’s giant spider friend and there are some little surprises in his den too. As Argus Filch once said, you've got to have your wits about you…

If you don’t like spiders, don’t worry, you can walk around Aragog’s lair.

As well as the trail itself, there are themed food and drink stalls at the start, middle and end of the walk along with toilets and picnic benches.

This includes a butterbeer bar selling the iconic drink. It tastes of delicious sweet caramel and you can buy a bottle of it with a souvenir butterbeer cup for £9.

After the trail, you enter a village where the majority of food and drink stalls are.

The finale of Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience is spectacular and is bound to leave you feeling wowed and maybe a little emotional. But that’s all we’ll say!

All in all, the trail is a must for Harry Potter fans. Children will love it but adults will feel just as giddy. It’s a wonderful trip down memory lane to relive the magic of the films and see iconic moments brought to life.

The path is very muddy in places, so we'd recommend wearing boots or wellies. Take care driving into Arley Hall & Gardens, as the road is very dark, long and winding.

There are a few large car parks on grass and gravel fields that all look the same and are poorly lit, so take note of where you park!

Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience opens to the public Saturday 16 October and tickets are on sale now. Prices start from £19.

Arley Hall & Gardens is in Arley, Northwich, CW9 6NA.
