Inside Gordon Ramsay's £7m London mansion as he plans wine room in huge renovation

Gordon Ramsay has big plans for his £7million London mansion as he looks to add a bedroom to the basement as part of a huge renovation of the property.

The 54-year-old TV chef has submitted plans to change his home with a new bedroom as well as a wine room, a plant room and a new shower room.

The plans the award-winning chef has given to his local council, according to The Sun, show that the the ground floor extension will be demolished and will have a new, modern design as a replacement.

The lower ground floor will also get a light well, which usually has a glass roof to let in natural light, leading out to the back garden.

The work is expected to start in September and take more than 12 months to complete, with an end date of December 2022 on the application.

The extension will add a further 76m 2 to the already sizeable house.

Gordon shares his home with wife Tana as well as having five children, baby Oscar, Megan, 23, Jack, Holly, both 21, and Tilly, 19.

With a restaurant standard kitchen installed in the house, Gordon has filmed for his TV shows from there as well as sharing insights into his house and home life on social media.

As well as a big kitchen to help with all his culinary requirements, there is also spacious rooms and stylish furnishings.

Pictures also show that he has an immaculately kept garden for the moments when Gordon can take time out and relax under the summer sun.

Despite his restaurants being forced to temporarily close during the coronavirus pandemic, multi-millionaire Gordon has continued to rake it in with his TV work and as well as the huge renovation, the chef has been looking at an electric Porsche.

The environmentally friendly sports car will cost a whopping £250,000 but Gordon has got his eyes on the prize.
