Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer have revealed that they were 'crushing hard' on each other off-screen and even shared their first kiss on set.
The iconic duo - who played couple Ross Geller and Rachel Green in the hit show - have finally admitted that sparks flew between the pair, but their romance never went any further.
Speaking about their fondness for each other, Jennifer admitted that they shared their first kiss while filming Friends scenes but they'd discussed the moment earlier.
The remarks come after David revealed in the recent reunion that they both shared feelings for each other but they never acted on it because one was always in a relationship.
In the recent Friends reunion special, television host James Corden expressed surprise that none of the cast had ever officially had a romance with their co-stars.
During the conversation, Jennifer also revealed that the pair had joked about sharing a first kiss - only for it to take place in front of the cameras.
“I remember saying to David, ‘It’s going to be such a bummer if the first time you I actually kiss you is on national television’," Jennifer revealed.
"Sure enough... ” And it was, when their characters Ross and Rachel kissed for the first time in the coffee shop," she said.
“We just channelled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel,” says Jennifer.
Despite sharing feelings, their romance never went anywhere. David explained: "And at some point we were both crushing hard on each other but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary, we respected that..." before Matt shouted: "Bulls**t!"
During the filming of Friends, which aired between 1994 and 2004, Jennifer dated Tate Donovan and Paul Rudd before going on to marry Brad Pitt in 2000. David dated singer Natalia Imbruglia during the late 1990s, before going onto date Mili Avital and Carla Alapont.
Throughout the years, the pair have faced some rumours of romance but have always maintained that they are simply close friends.
Their off-screen chemistry while filming the show certainly transpired and their adoration for each other was captured in Ross and Rachel's enduring romance.
Despite facing several hurdles in their relationship, the couple got married, got divorced, split several times and eventually reunited in the Friends finale. Most importantly, fans have loved the duo's chemistry throughout the years on the show.
Fast forward to the present days, and the actors are now able to fondly reflect on their off-screen fondness. While both Jen and David have kept their recent dating lives under wraps, it does appear that neither is currently in a long-term relationship.
