Inside filthy dog mess-filled home after mum didn't empty bins for FIVE YEARS

Shocking pictures show the inside of a home after a mum stopped taking her rubbish out five years ago.

Animal droppings and years of kitchen and domestic waste were found piled up inside the Birmingham house.

The mum-of-two said she stopped taking her rubbish out because the chute in her home broke - and she was intimidated by drug users by the bins.

The case is revealed in TV documentary Grime and Punishment, which will screen on Channel 5 on Thursday.

Cameras follow cleaning experts Caz and T as they try to get the home in a decent condition again.

Caz said, The Sun reports : "It’s a mixture of cat litter, dog poo – old cartons, ripped up boxes.

"It’s bordering on a bio-hazard to be honest."

Urine and pet droppings, as well as sanitary products, left carpets and bedding soggy, the cleaners revealed.

Caz said: "You wouldn’t think to use a shovel inside but it’s the only thing for us that can deal with the thickness and gooeyness of the mess."

They filled more than 300 bags with rubbish before the flat was finally ready for cleaning and decorating.

Caz described the smell of some of the bags as "overpowering" - but said no one judged the woman who lived there.

Viewers will hear that she had mental health problems in the time she lived in the flat with her children.

After four days of hard work, the documentary will show what the home looks like - with Caz saying it made it all "worth it".

The programme will be broadcast at 8pm on Thursday on Channel 5.
