Inside Emirates' First Class cabin as it's named best in the world

We imagine that flying First Class is always going to be a swanky experience, but there's one airline that's particular impressed passengers with its lavish offerings; Emirates.

In fact, the airline has picked up the award for the world's best First Class cabin in TripAdvisor 's 2019 Travellers' Choice Awards.

But what exactly is it that makes Emirates' luxury cabin just so special?

Well, for a start, it offers more than just comfortable seats - in fact, passengers can get their very own SUITES.

The airline unveiled the pretty spectacular First Class Suites on board its Boeing 777 aircraft back in 2017.

As in, you actually have your own private suite with a floor-to-ceiling door for total privacy, and a handy video call function to request 'room service'.

Then there's the soft leather recliner seat that turns into a fully flat bed, special Hydra Active moisturising pyjamas, a 32-inch full HD LCD TV screen, mood lighting, a pull-out desk, luxury amenity kits, and even a full-length cupboard for hanging clothes in.

Basically, it's a far cry from sitting in a cramped seat where you often have to forego personal space, and accept that you won't be able to stretch your legs nearly as often as you'd like to.

As for the food? Forget those dubious trays served up (if you're lucky to get a meal at all).

In the First Class suites, passengers are treated to a la carte multi-course meals from top international chefs. Oh, and passengers also get a personal mini bar, of course.

But it's not just the suites which have proven such a hit with passengers.

Emirates also offers a host of other lush services including an in-flight Shower Spa which is ideal for freshening up before landing, as well as the Onboard Lounge where a dedicated bartender serves up premium beverages and canapés.

Everything about the cabin is luxurious (Emirates)

Sir Tim Clark, President, Emirates Airline said: "Emirates’ First Class product is an end-to-end experience.

"It begins before the flight takes off - from the chauffeur drive airport transfer to exclusive check-in counters, use of our dedicated Emirates Lounges, and all the onboard comforts and services.

"We set the bar a long time ago defining what First Class travel should look like and we continuously invest in product and innovation so we are very pleased that our customers have recognised our unparalleled First class experience with this award."

How much is it?

Thinking of splurging on the First Class experience? Average fares to Dubai from the UK start from £5,969 from London Heathrow, £5,929 from London Gatwick or Stansted, £5,979 from Glasgow and £6,029 from Manchester.
