Dublin Airport is unusually quiet as the coronavirus outbreak cancels flights and ruins holiday plans.
The whole country is on a lockdown of sorts while the Department of Foreign Affairs asked Irish citizens to avoid all non-essential travel to anywhere in Europe.
People travelling through Irish airports have been shocked at just how quiet it has been with people taking heed of warnings to stay put.
One person said they'd "never seen Dublin Airport look like this before."
While another person travelling through the terminal said it was like "something out of Night of the Living Dead".
Airports across the country including Knock, Cork and Shannon are all quieter than usual due to the pandemic.
As a result of the outbreak Ryanair have waived their change fees on flights booked until March 31 amid the Covid-19 outbreak.
Aer Lingus have also waived change fees on flights booked for March, April and May amid the outbreak.
Currently the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade's key Covid-19 travel advice states that people should not travel to Italy, and avoid non-essential travel to China, Iran and Spain.
Tanaiste Simon Coveney tweeted this evening: "NB TRAVEL ADVICE: In light of rapidly changing conditions & restrictions across a number of EU countries, my Dept is now advising people to exercise “a high degree of caution” before deciding to travel to other EU States.
"We will continue to update advice."
