The latest addition to Edinburgh’s nightlife scene is holding a series of events for their launch weekend.
Tim’rous Beastie, at 7 Bernard Street, opens on March 10 and will be hosting a variety of musical acts from techno to folk music. While the name is new, the venue will be familiar to many as the much-loved spot Iso-Bar.
Tim’rous Beastie management say the new venue has a ‘warm, modern and quirky’ vibe.

On opening night, Radio Forth 1 DJ Grant Thomson will be playing his favourite dance tunes in the rear room from 9pm. On Saturday, techno DJ Gary MacDonald will be on the decks from 9pm.
On Sunday, bringing a more chilled atmosphere, singer/songwriter Andy Chung will be bringing his renditions of Scottish folk music and Rabbie Burns material from 4pm until 7pm. Later, accordion and fiddle duo Blair Teska and Ross Maclead will continue with the folk music.
Tim’rous Beastie plans to host a variety of quiz nights, pre-club nights, live bands, singers, performers and jam sessions in the coming weeks. They’ve also pointed out their Jukebox, which is free Monday to Friday until 6pm.
Posting to their Facebook page, Tim’rous Beastie said: “We can’t wait to welcome you all to our bar this weekend.
“This is a non-ticketed event, we are open from 4pm on Friday and 2.30pm Saturday and Sunday.”
