Inside Edinburgh's new super-Instagrammable city centre brunch restaurant

Popular eatery Scran Bistro have released the first images of the interior of their second venue - a brunch and cocktail restaurant called Scran New Town.

The Cockburn Street cafe announced earlier this year that they would be opening a new venue this spring - and it has officially opened its doors to the public.

Created by Edinburgh maximal design studio Ja!Coco! (you'll recognise their iconic work from Superico, Stag Barbers and Civerinos), the interior boasts pastel pink walls, neons, huge flower installations, checkerboard floors and soft booths and is a far cry from the 'Scottish Experience' tourist shop that was housed in the building before.

Consider your weekend brunch plans sorted (Scran New Town)

Scran New Town's menu is dedicated to all things brunch and their menu is packed full of classic hangover-curing dishes.

Options include pancakes covered in blueberries and lemon sorbet, smoothie bowls, french toast made with brioche and smothered in vanilla mascarpone and avocado on toast every way you can think of.

For those keen for a boozy brunch, the new venue comes with a full bar which will be fully operational once indoor drinking is allowed in Scotland's next lockdown easing.

As well as dishing out brunch, Scran New Town also has a selection of salads on offer and a huge afternoon tea to share.

Scran New Town is located at 36 North Bridge (the other end of the arcade from Scran Bistro).
