Inside EastEnders star Jessie Wallace's stylish pink home that's a world away from Walford

Jessie Wallace lives in a house that's a million miles away from the garish leopard prints of Kat Slater.

The EastEnders actress' real home in north London is full of music and film memorabilia, neon signs, retro pieces and individual decor. But mostly there is a pink theme that is continued throughout the house.

Starting with her bathroom, the 48-year-old sets the pink-themed tone with a palm print mural in front of a sunken bathtub. The proud homeowner shared pictures with her fans on Instagram, captioning the image: "I am soooo in love with my new bathroom mural."

The pink theme continues in her living room, where she keeps a large display cabinet in a bright fuchsia colour.

The cabinet is covered with fake pink flowers, and inside, Jessie has placed treasured ornaments and lit it with fairy lights, allowing them to glow through the glass.

On the walls of her living room are several neon-lit art works, featuring celebrity icons like Judy Garland, Elvis Presley, David Bowie and Marc Bolan. Jessie's latest wall art is a pink-based portrait of Ru Paul, which she captioned:

"We’re all born naked and the rest is drag” -RuPaul

Love this new painting of mama Ru."

Outside, Jessie's homage to her idols carries on, as she pays tribute to the Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe with an Andy-Warhol-style artwork on her garden walls.

Jessie lives with her beloved pets – of course Kat loves cats – and in one image, she has snapped a black kitty clambering on the back of a boldly patterned armchair.

On the floor of her kitchen Jessie has made another bold choice, a geometric star tile with, guess what, a pink tone.

But it's her bedroom where she's allowed her love of pink to run riot. Her bedroom is decorated with a pastel pink patterned floral paper, lit by a pair of table lamps with retro fringed lampshades. Her bed is piled high with sumptuous cushions and a dyed-pink sheepskin rug. Jessie captioned her boudoir-styled haven, "My slice of heaven" with the hashtag "home".

Jessie's garden is a beautiful lush space, even though she's in the heart of the capital city. She has been growing wild garlic, and a few weeks ago told her followers that she'd made wild garlic and potato soup with the produce from her garden.

In the Spring, the trees and her lawn are covered in blossom. Jessie is also growing a jasmine, with, you've guessed it, pink flowers and told her fans, "my pink jasmine makes the living room smell gorgeous."

When Autumn arrives, the leaves on the trees outside her house change colour, and while they're not pink, they're definitely rose-coloured. They make a stunning effect through the windows.

Jessie has installed a hammock in a shady part of her garden, where she can relax in the hot weather.

But it hasn't always been such a calm space, as Jessie joked after a day in (or out of) the hammock recently, "Bruised a**e Sunday." We've noticed that the hammock is blue. Perhaps if she'd bought a pink one, she would've stayed inside it.
