Inside designer George Bond's 'truly exceptional' Gosforth apartment on the market for £750,000

With its drab grey exterior, luxury is not something that springs to mind when looking at Montagu Court in Gosforth.

But in fact, it is the home of award-winning interior designer George Bond.

His three-bedroom apartment has a classic look which would not look out of place at Buckingham Palace.

And now you have a chance to buy his luxury pad - but it will set you back £750,000.

His home boasts a 360-degree view of Newcastle with the wide open spaces of the Town Moor on one side and an equally impressive look at a city landscape on the other.

The 'truly exceptional' apartment was overhauled by Mr Bond a number of years ago with renovations taking around 18 months, costing £200,000.

The design won Best Interior Design North East and Best Interior Design Apartment, 2014-2015 and 2013-2014 respectively.

A private passageway in the apartment leads to three bedrooms with the master having a walk-in dressing room and wardrobes as well as a luxury en-suite shower and wet room.

Other interior features are opulent silk wallpapering, concealed dimmer lighting, polished wooden floors, plush carpeting in the living and bedroom areas, and double-glazed UV prevention tinted windows throughout.

Mr Bond is relocating from his seventh floor home which also has access to a triple car garage in the basement with a newly installed electric roller door.

Estate agent Sanderson Young said it was a 'privilege' to offer the property for sale and encouraged suitors to look around internally.

They said: "Accommodation briefly comprises of superb panelled door into the entrance vestibule, hallway, cloakroom/wc and washroom, built in double cloakroom, two principal reception rooms including a large open plan dining room and higher level floor with magnificent views over the Town Moor and leading onto the balcony.

"The dining room doubles as a reception and library area and has steps down to the sunken drawing room and sitting area beneath.

"The kitchen/breakfast room has been superbly fitted at a cost of circa £40,000 with extensive units and integrated appliances, all presented to an exceptional standard."
