Inside Cork man's incredible man cave he built during lockdown

An enterprising dad is the envy of all his neighbours who are going to have to wait a little while longer to see his incredible home creation in person.

Pictures show what may be Ireland’s most impressive home pub, put together by Kieran O’Callaghan as he keeps himself occupied during the coronavirus lockdown.

The ‘Man Cave’ on Cork’s northside has just about everything you’d want.

It’s got traditional decorations hanging from the walls with some added Rebel themes, pool, darts, table tennis - and of course the all-important tap and spirits.

There’s also an arcade with over 1,000 games - but it’s not just the inside that has caught our eye.

The patio is equally impressive, with a BBQ on demand as well as a very creative fireplace made from an old keg.

Speaking to Cork Beo, lucky daughter Nicole said the project is still in the making - and they can’t wait until it’s safe to have people over to enjoy it.

She said: “Our beer garden is still in the making. We’re still waiting for our fire-pit, wind canopy, and outdoor heater for the cold nights!

“We’re also waiting for the wood to make a wooden bench with beer holders and a plant area behind it. We’re planning a lot more to add but this is what we’ve done so far.

“Our arcade machine has over 1000 games from the old days so good for people calling over to relive a bit of their childhood.”
