Inside Carol Vorderman's Pride of Britain glam as she dons two show-stopping gowns

Pride of Britain host Carol Vorderman went all out for this year's 20th ceremony by donning not one, but two show-stopping outfits.

The former Countdown star, who has presented the event since it began in 1999, stole the show at this year's bash at London's Grosvenor House.

Carol, 58, made a bold look in her first outfit of the evening as she arrived bravely matching the red carpet in a striking floorlength gown.

The stunning dress, by designer David Fielden, made the most of Carol's famous hour-glass figure.

The gown featured elegant sheer straps that plunged into a deep V neckline.

Carol also made the most of her curves with an ultra flattering cinched-in waist.

But Carol had arguably, saved her best outfit till last, as she switched up her look to take centre stage and present the ceremony.

After a quick visit to Wardrobe, Carol emerged in a dazzling silver strapless dress, set off with matching silver jewelerry.

Keeping her bouncy curls and glossy make-up the same, Carol returned in her dazzling second gown to welcome the winners and celebs to the show.

Carol, who looks as stunning now as she did when she first found fame on Channel 4's Countdown in 1982 has in the past shed light on some of the beauty treatments that keep her looking so good.

The star, who denies having plastic surgery, says she's a fan of treatments such as plasma showers, which used ionised gas to strip bacteria from the skin and encourage the growth of new cells.

While she hasn't been under the knife, Carol treat herself to botox injections once a year in her neck and around her eyes.

She also has derma roller treatment, whereby micro-needles are rolled across the skin to stimulate collagen.

She also tackles her looks from the inside out, taking vitamins A and D, omega 3, fish oils, calcium, pro-biotics and cider vinegar.

"And I eat well. I cut down on sugar and cut down on carbs long before it became fashionable, and most of the week I drink very little alcohol. Your tolerance goes down after the menopause. Two glasses of wine and I feel it the next day. But I do love to party!" she told the Daily Mail.
