The current property market is overheating in some areas of Wales, with house prices soaring.
Recent data from the Office of National Statistics, covering the period up to and including June 2021, shows that Wales is the UK's region with the highest average house price increase - 16.7% between June 2020 and June 2021 compared to 13.3% in England, 12% in Scotland and 9% in Northern Ireland.
