Inside Boris Johnson and Carrie Symond's swanky £1.3m love nest with four bedrooms

This is Boris Johnson and Carrie Symond's plush new £1.3million home they've purchased after being hounded out of their former mansion.

The new Prime Minister, 55, have reportedly decided to "put down roots" in trendy Camberwell, south London.

But it fuels speculation Carrie, 31, won't be moving into Number 10 Downing Street with her partner.

The semi-detached house is just one mile from the couple's former home, to which police were called after a disturbance last month .

But new neighbours expressed their displeasure at the sale.

"One of the neighbours told me last week that Boris and his girlfriend had bought the property. I can't say I'm thrilled about it," one resident said.

Another added: "No one has been there for a long time, about a year."

A third said: "He will not find many Tories around here.

"Personally I can't stand the man and I'd rather he live somewhere else."

Photos taken inside the three-storey property, which is around 2,000sqft in size, show the four large bedrooms, plush kitchen and living areas.

There are also two bathrooms and a ground floor toilet in the red brick pad, which overlooks a park.

Their new house is described as a "beautiful period residence offering an abundance of character".

Describing it as "a superb residence", the sales brochure says: "The property is in a fantastic location for city life while continuing to be located in calm, green spaces within a close-knit community."

Mr Johnson trounced Jeremy Hunt in the Conservative Leadership race.

And despite a lifetime of lies, gaffes and scandal  the Old Etonian will visit the Queen to take office as Prime Minister on Wednesday afternoon - moments after  Theresa May  gives Her Majesty her resignation.

But he faces Cabinet resignations within hours - including Philip Hammond,  Rory Stewart  and David Gauke - as his threat of  a No Deal Brexit  tears apart his party.

Skills minister Anne Milton quit minutes before the winner was announced saying she had "grave concerns" about a  No Deal Brexit .

And he triggered a furious backlash from  Labour  as he prepares to stuff Downing Street and the Cabinet with loyal Brexiteers - without calling a general election.

Jeremy Corbyn declared: " Boris Johnson has won the support of fewer than 100,000 unrepresentative Conservative Party members by promising tax cuts for the richest, presenting himself as the bankers' friend, and pushing for a damaging No Deal Brexit .

But he hasn't won the support of our country.

Boris Johnson and his girlfriend Carrie Symonds tried to prove to the world that all was well after their row

"Johnson's No Deal Brexit would mean job cuts, higher prices in the shops, and risk our NHS being sold off to US corporations in a sweetheart deal with Donald Trump. The people of our country should decide who becomes the Prime Minister in a General Election."

But Boris Johnson did win the approval of Donald Trump - days after failing to challenge his attack on Britain's now-resigned Ambassador to Washington.

The US President tweeted: "Congratulations to Boris Johnson on becoming the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He will be great!"
