Inside Anthea Turner's turbulent love life as she announces third engagement

Anthea Turner is preparing to walk down the aisle for a third time with tycoon Mark Armstrong.

The TV legend announced her shock engagement over the weekend, telling fans on she'd 'finally, after all this time' found true love found love with the businessman, who she has been dating for five months.

In recent years, 59-year-old Anthea has become known as much for her turbulent love life as her whirlwind TV career.

But Anthea hasn't let her past heartbreak - including two divorces - put her off finding love again.

When she first shot to fame on Blue Peter, Anthea had just tied the knot with DJ Peter Powell in 1990.

But it wasn't meant to be and the couple were divorced just eight years later in 1998.

In the year of her divorce, Anthea moved in with the CEO of Imagine homes Grant Bovey.

Bovey left his wife Della to move in with Anthea and the pair married in August 2000.

But it was by no means a happy ever after.

But Anthea's second marriage collapsed after she discovered Bovey had cheated on her.

They were divorced in 2015 and Anthea was forced to leave her £10million martial home in Surrey for a flat in London.

Anthea even combined her TV career with trying to find love as she appeared on Celebrity First Dates in 2015 where she enjoyed the company of city banker Jeremy.

In the wake of her two divorces, the former GMTV presenter wrote a book called How To Survive Divorce about heartache.

Recently, she went public with her romantic affections for new man Mark, 55.

The couple had only crossed paths in March at a private members' club.

In a recent interview, Anthea admitted she hadn't given up on finding long-lasting love

.

She told Best magazine earlier this year: "Getting divorced from [ex-husband] Grant [Bovey] was very, very tough. But I have not given up on love.

"I am dating, I am holding auditions. It sounds very Whitney Houston, but you have to make yourself the greatest love - learn to accept yourself, and then you can bring someone else into your life.

"I don't need someone to have kids with or help me buy a house. But I do want someone who's got my back, to moan with, laugh with, to have adventures and great sex with. And I know that person will come into my life."
