Scots singer Amy Macdonald has been lifting spirits amid the coronavirus pandemic by keeping fans entertained from her million pound mansion just outside Glasgow.
The Troubled Soul star has been sharing performances recorded from home, as well as a hilarious video of her bleaching husband Richard Foster’s hair in their kitchen.
Lockdown frustrations are real, no matter what size or shape the abodes are that people are spending the social distancing period in.
But we can’t help but think life would be a whole lot sweeter at the moment if we called a five-bedroom property like Amy’s our own.
Rocketing to fame in 2007 with iconic debut album This is the Life, the songstress has worked tirelessly over the years to make her home the perfect luxury pad, so she deserves to enjoy the fruits of her labour in the style that she's doing.
And we can all hope for a bit of home inspiration to rub off on us by taking a virtual tour of the plush property, which Amy bought for £850k in 2011.
After marrying former Rangers player Richard in Las Vegas in 2018, the loved-up newlyweds wasted no time putting plans in place to extend the house, and ordered a massive extension to create a bigger kitchen and dining room at the back of the stunning modern build.
Amy was on tour when the newly designed addition was finally unveiled, sharing an image at the time with the caption: “I’m going on tour now so won’t see this finished until I get back but I’m so pleased with how this has turned out! Kitchen of dreams."
The home already boasted a super chic interior, with neutral and warm tones and loads of light throughout, as well as quirky art pieces and signs of Amy’s cool, laid-back style.
But after the revamp, the pair’s sleek pad is more than fit for a superstar Scots couple, with a swanky luxury kitchen featuring all the mod cons you’d expect in a rockstar home, as well as massive patio doors that scream luxury living.
The Insta-worthy dream extension features a dining area and chill-out space, making it the perfect place to entertain any well-known pals they might happen to invite round for a champagne or two.
And no popstar kitchen would be complete without the addition of the perfect selfie spot, in the shape of a neon lyric sign in tribute to Amy’s hero Bruce Springsteen.
The star’s fans were in awe of the space when Amy shared images of her new kitchen at the end of last year, with many unsurprisingly hailing it a “dream” home.
One said: “WOW,perfect kitchen,the best i have ever seen,totally amazing.”
One added: “Perfect dream kitchen wonderful”
And another said: “House goals”.
Instagram followers have also been given glimpses of the rest of the property, which is spacious throughout.
And that's a good job given the busy lives of the famous couple, with Richard now penning his second book after writing his first crime novel in his spare time recently.
With Amy working on tunes from the bedroom and her other half scribbling up a storm elsewhere, we might even see another extension added to this super successful pair's castle within a couple of years!
