Inside Amanda Holden's £5million Surrey ‘forever home’ which is up for sale

Amanda Holden has decided to put her multi-million pound Surrey home on the market just years after describing it as her family’s ‘forever home’.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 51, had splashed out £3.5million on the mansion seven years ago.

She now hopes to make a £1.5million profit after putting the property up for sale for £5million.

The house, owned by Amanda and her record producer husband Chris Hughes, underwent a renovation project over lockdown.

They even declared that the Surrey mansion was their ‘forever home’ in 2015, but now it seems like the family is looking for a new venture.

The five bedroom and three bathroom detached home has often featured in the BGT judge’s Instagram page.

Pictures from its online listing show its modern stylish kitchen, massive living room, a study, spacious bedrooms, a walk-in wardrobe, its own bar and a hot tub.

During lockdown, Amanda renovated her Wilson Fink kitchen by adding new cupboards and workshops and adding mirrored tiles to the walls.

Over the breakfast bar hangs three disco ball-style lights, which are worth £850 each.

The décor reflects Amanda’s quirky taste in interior design, with pineapple-themed accessories around the home including printed wallpaper and a £125 lamp.

The home has an open-plan kitchen with incredible artwork, including a huge painting of a female astronaut.

The family also recently added a stunning outhouse kitted out with a bar and a hot tub on a large wooden decking area, near to a palm tree that she planted in memory of Sir Captain Tom Moore.

A source told the Daily Mail : “Amanda loves her family home and is really proud of the work she’s done on it.

“She’s had a real hand in the makeover and has enjoyed seeing her ideas come to life.

“It will be a sad day when she moves out but Amanda can take comfort in the number of memories she’s created there.”

Amanda and Chris have lived with their two daughters Lexi, 16, and Hollie, 10, in the home since buying it until 2015.

The radio DJ even admitted to ‘badgering’ its former owner for years to sell them the home until they finally caved, and the family secured the property.

She told House Beautiful that it was important for their home to not feel like "a show home".

Amanda said: "We have two little girls and don't want them feeling that they're treading on eggshells."

The Surrey home is not their only property, as the couple also own a home in the Cotswolds which they are in the process of renovating.

The TV personality is also appearing on a BBC show in Italy where she will be renovating a property in Italy with celebrity friend Alan Carr, showing her flair for interior design.
