Pictures of an eerie McDonald's untouched since the 1900s have been unearthed.
The deserted store, found on an Alaskan naval base on Adak Island, which is part of the Aleutian Islands, was originally set as an outpost for Army and Navy bases during World War II, according to the National Park Service - but when the naval base was abandoned in the 1990s, many of the town’s residents fled the area and businesses were forced to close down, explains Los Angeles Times.
In many cases, restaurants like McDonald's were left exactly as they had been when they were up and running, reports Daily Star.

Images of the store were posted on Twitter by @RealJezebelley - an account that is seemingly dedicated to all things retro - and they're pretty spooky.
It tweeted: "Abandoned McDonald’s on the remote Alaskan island still has the menu up with Bobby’s World and Jurassic Park promos."
The post now boasts almost 19,000 likes and more than 3,250 retweets.
Users were shocked at the pictures of the abandoned eaterie, including @IamSteveland, whose family allegedly owned the joint before the army base closed down.
He tweeted: "Created a Twitter just to say, my parents owned this McDonald’s store! We lived on Adak for 5 years and left when the navy base closed down. This is amazing to see!"
Another person who claimed to have been there wrote: "Was stationed there. Great place. I was on the island when it shut down and all the civilians left."
A third noted: "A simpler time when you could read the menu in 5 seconds. Today’s menu is a mess."
A third commented: "I've eaten at that McD's! I was stationed on Adak in 1982-1983 and got quarter pounders there! Haha! That's so funny."
"Has a working McFlurry machine. Perhaps the only working McFlurry machine in the world. However, there is nobody to operate it," joked someone else.
