Inside abandoned house caked in dirt and rubble that transports you back in time

Actor Jake Parr discovered an incredible house which had been abandoned in Cheshire.

Jake, 32, from Manchester often goes in search of the weirdest, and most wonderful buildings and structures as part of his photography project 'Abandoned.'

But he is best known for his appearances on a number of television shows like Coronation Street, Judge Rinder's Crime Stories and Fast and Furious 9 - which is yet to be released, reported Stoke-On-Trent Live.

Before lockdown Jake went in search of the Crewe property after spotting it on Google Maps.

Hidden behind an array of trees and overgrown bushes was the abandoned property - and it did not disappoint.

He said: "I never reveal the exact location of the places I find but this one was near Crewe. The sort of places I find are all old and abandoned so I never know what I am going to find.

"This house was as though someone just left and never came back. There was a pair of shoes and a sewing machine, and beds still in the house - plus an enormous Quality Street tin which was much bigger than the ones we get now!"

The exterior of the property, albeit run-down, shows so much potential with its grand structure and columns surrounding the front door.

Upon entering the property, the wallpaper in the hallway was peeling and the pretty geometric design of the floor was barely noticeable beneath the dirt.

Among the dirt and rubble were a number of books and magazines lying open - including a page from the Daily Star dated August 18, 2000 - as well as a sewing machine, a pair of men's smart shoes and a large tin of Quality Street.

Upstairs, you can expect to see one of the bedrooms filled with broken furniture as well as branches pushing their way through the window.

In the garden, other than the caravan, Jake spotted an array of car parts strewn around, and a mattress.

"This is a hobby for me," says Jake.

"It's an adrenaline rush and makes me happy. Whereas some people like to go walking or do extreme sports, this is what I like to do - how I get my excitement.

"As well as visiting many places in the UK, I've also been over the Lanzarote and Menorca and hopefully next year I will be travelling over to Chernobyl to explore."
