Inside £6.5m 'bad luck' mansion of EuroMillions winner with own cinema, gym and bar

An incredible £6.5m mansion owned by a former EuroMillions winner has been put up for sale.

Adrian Bayford, 41, won an astonishing £147m in 2012, but he is putting the seven bedroom house, set in 189 acres of land, on the market for a £1m loss.

The ex-postman said the Grade II listed mansion reminds him of bad luck.

He bought the house for £6,085,250 just eight years ago after he and his then-wife Gillian, 40, scooped the incredible prize.

To beat inflation and break even, he would have to sell the Cambridgeshire estate for £7,239,896.

But friends say that comes nowhere near covering the estimated £2m he has spent upgrading the home, adding living quarters for staff as well as a leisure centre and swimming pool.

He also upgraded the stables and added miles of fencing when his ex-girlfriend persuaded him to try his luck as a farmer, Daily Star reports.

Adrian has now moved back to Scotland, but estate agent pictures show the incredible luxury he lived in while he was in the house.

The mansion comes with its own cinema, billiards room and bar, as well as a full gym and pool with changing rooms.

It has an adjoining three-bed annexe as well as five separate cottages and stables for dozens of horses and a walled garden.

Pals say Adrian is desperate to sell the mansion where his wife divorced him and two girlfriends dumped him because it is a constant reminder of his bad luck.

The dad-of-two also sees the house as a site of betrayal, after he was let down by close friends he no longer talks to.

At the time, Adrian said he was shocked by the "begging letters" he had received since news broke of his huge win.

A friend told The Sun: "Adrian and Gillian had such bright hopes when they bought that house, but it has just never worked out.

"They split quickly after moving in and she went to Scotland with the children.

"Then Adrian thought he had found love with Sam - but she ran out with the horses he bought her."

They added: "Then there was Lisa, who we all really hoped he might make it work with - but that fell apart too.

"Adrian is very picky about who he surrounds himself with now. He is such a nice guy he really deserves to be happy."

The friend went on: "That house was so big and showy, it was never really him. He was always happy with simple things."

Adrian has now been dumped three times since splitting from his wife, the first time by a Polish sausage factory worker Marta Jarosz, 36.

He then dated Sam Burbidge, a stable-girl who he became engaged to, lavishing her with millions of pounds worth of horses, cars and jewellery before she left, taking the horses with her.

Recently, he was dating Lisa Kemp, a waitress at Frankie and Benny's, but she too dumped him claiming he had messaged an ex.

Adrian has recently bought a more modest £2.5m home near Blairgowrie, Perthshire, to be nearer his children and ex.
