Inquest to be held after Carlton builder, 44, died in fall while working in Spain

A Carlton builder has died in a fall while working in Spain.

An inquest on 44-year-old Darren Heckford was briefly opened at the Council House.

Nottinghamshire's Assistant Coroner Laurinda Bower said he died in Malaga on July 10.

The incident has been reported to the county coroner's office which will arrange an inquest.

She said Mr Heckford normally lived in Redland Grove, Carlton.

"He died while working on a building project. He has sadly fallen from a height and sustained injury.

"There will be an inquest," said Miss Bower, who told the hearing further enquiries would be made. She then adjourned the matter.

No date was set for the full hearing which is likely to be held in the Council House.
