Inquest opens into woman, 21, who died 'so young'

The inquest into the death of a young woman who died ‘suddenly’ at hospital has been opened.

Megan Elise Sharp died at Bassetlaw Hospital in Worksop on June 22 last year at the age of 21.

A provisional cause of her death - drug contamination - was given following a post mortem examination.

An inquest has now been opened following the findings and the date of the first hearing is yet to be set.

Assistant Coroner Laurinda Bower opened the inquest into Megan Elise Sharp’s death at the Council House in Nottingham on Tuesday (January 18).

Ms Bower passed on her condolences and best wishes to Megan Elise Sharp’s family and friends who lost a loved one ‘so young’.
