Inquest opens into baby who died at King's Mill hospital who was less than a month old

An inquest has opened into a baby who died at King's Mill hospital less than a month old. Joseph Tissington was born on July 1 2021, and died on July 27 2021 aged just 26-days-old.

Joseph was identified by his father at the hospital on Mansfield Road in Sutton-in-Ashfield. Assistant Coroner Fiona Gingell opened the inquest at Nottingham Council House in Old Market Square on Thursday (March 17).

The hearing has been adjourned for further enquiries, with a final date to be fixed. Ms Gingell offered her sincere condolences to the parents of Joseph Tissington and wider members of the family for their loss.
