Inquest opened after man found in “state of collapse” at home

An inquest has been opened into the death of a man found collapsed at his home.

George Anthony Booth, 42, was found in a “state of collapse” at his flat on Wharf Road, in Manchester.

Mr Booth was admitted to Wythenshawe Hospital but deteriorated and died in hospital on June 23, 2020.

An inquest into the circumstances surrounding his death was opened on Thursday (March 11) at Manchester Coroners’ Court.

Senior Manchester Coroner Nigel Meadows adjourned the hearing to a date yet to be fixed.
